Not sure I agree with that last point. EDI-EWR, GLA-SXF and EDI-GVA, not to
mention the majority of the FR routes from PIK, are also doing very well,
and with the addition of EDI-MAD and EDI-MXP this year I think the RDF has a
pretty good record, though I would again stress that I don't believe the
success of all these routes to have been down purely to the Fund itself.
Perhaps the RDF's biggest asset was as a bit of press and publicity for the
expansion of international flights from Scottish airports.
