That argument leads to a dangerously slippery slope! Isobars are difficult
so they must not be shown (however relevant); rubbish. I can remember "the
good old days" when the TV weather man had time to explain what was going on
and don't remember any complaints about it being difficult, quite the
reverse. Treat the public as intelligent and explain difficult terms and
they will learn. (The dim and idle never will, and will not take any notice
of advisories anyway.)
